Summary: how do I create an RDC connection from a Windows 2008 server to another server?
Our client will only allow us to connect to their server via a static IP address (which is fair enough), but unfortunately as we're a very small company we don't have one in the office.
As a work around, we had the connection working through our old Windows 2003 server (dynamic-cloud from 1and1). ..
My dad moved his office. The new location will only have WiFi access, but he still needs his server setup and the other machines connected to it.
The server (don't laugh) is an old Windows NT 4.0. Then I'm trying to connect just a standard Dell desktop to it (running Windows XP).
The old location had a broadband network. When I'm on the server, I can't connect to the DHCP.
all.
My company host all the software, including application and website in one local ubuntu server. But recently we start to use Amazon EC2, and want to move the whole server to cloud.
Is there anyway to copy the entire server to EC2? OS is the same, ubuntu 12.04, and just one server, and one user account.
Well i guess i can't make this question cuz' is like a discussion but i don't know what to do... i want to know what is better for a large traffic website... an example.
I have a commercial website on an Ubuntu web server and my hosting company has a mail server for all its customers.
For security reasons, do you think I should rely on my hosting company's centralized mail server for my domain's email? Or should I just set up my own mail server on the same Cloud server?
Maybe I should use Google Apps' mail server for my own domain?
Thanks in advance
I'm testing connection with flash client and cloud server(boost::asio for software) over TCP connection. My connection with server already is really poor - 120 ms ping in average. I found when i start to send packets with 2 bytes size (without tcp header) with speed 30 packets/s - ping grow to 170-200 average.
We are in the process of migrating a datacenter hosted web application to a cloud provider, and we need to set up a VPN tunnel between one of the cloud servers and our internal office network so that we can move/access data securely from an internal database server.
In our current setup we have a hardware VPN tunnel which is setup on the firewalls of the two different networks (office and datacen
Hello all. Doing a cloud server is my first time. Can any body sendme to a place that gives all the info on making a cloud server fromCentos 6.3.Toltal newbie.....
To seasoned software standards expert Angel Diaz, today’s effort to create interoperability in the cloud is reminiscent of the mid-90s when HTTP emerged as a state-of-the-art technology. Every application server had to do that same function but there was no standard, he said.
