How to set primary monitor in Kubuntu with AMD/ATI video card multiple monitors and fglrx driver?

http://askubuntu.com – I'm running Kubuntu 12.04 with the AMD proprietary video driver. I have a Radeon HD 6700 Series card with 3 monitors. One of the monitors is larger and physically placed in the middle. I want it to be the primary monitor. However, dialogs and various notifications always come up on the left-most monitor. Even the KDM login appears on this monitor. I prefer this to be on the middle monitor too. Anyone know how to fix this? Here's what I tried so far: # nano /etc/X11/xorg.conf I added Option "Primary" "true" to the section for that monitor as shown below: Section "Monitor" I (HowTos)

Need bit of help on this. I am using Linux mint 14 with xfce.

I have 2 monitors. LG and Samsung. One is attached to digital input and one to VGA input cable.

NVidia graphics card. The 2 monitors come up OK, and I see the Linux desktop on both of them just fine.

The problem is that they are duplicate of each others. Kinda' useless.

Hi everybody,I'm running on two monitors now, two Samsung, one 1680x1050 and the other 1280x1024.

The graphics card on my computer has inputs for (at least) two separate monitors. I have one monitor that is high resolution, and I like using it for X (anything graphical).

How can I set the location for the login screen with lightdm in a multi monitor setup.

If have two monitors (1920x1080) + (1920x1200) and currently after I boot the login is shown on the left (smaller) monitor.

I have one DVI monitor, an old Dell LCD from 2005, and one VGA monitor, an Asus ML238H from 2010 whose HDMI port broke. The Asus is plugged into my graphics card's primary monitor slot and is the better monitor even though it is VGA but my computer defaults to the Dell.

I have to different but simlar monitors. According to nvidia-settings my main monitor is running at 59.93 MHZ while the other runs at 59.88 MHZ. In X Video settings I have enabled VSync and that it should sync to my primary monitor. This results in video tearing on my secondary. Is there a way to specify a refresh rate at which both monitors should run?
