I can't change the default wallpaper. When I right-click the desktop and open "Change Wallpaper" (actually I'm using it in spanish, so it says "Cambiar el fondo de escritorio") I can select other images, but I don't see any change in the actual desktop, even if I close that window or restart it...
I am using nexus 5 and I am having trouble setting a non scrolling wallpaper. I swear I set a non scrolling wallpaper the first time around. When i selected an image it simply flashed a vertical and a horizontal crop box on my image and i could select whichever one i wanted.
Last night i decided to change my wallpaper (huge mistake) and it never showed me those options again.
I have just installed opensuse 11.2 and am using the gnome desktop environment. I just can't get it to change wallpapers. I select a wallpaper in the list, and nothing happens. I download a wallpaper and add it to the backgrounds. select it. nothing happens. I don't particularly like the default wallpaper and I hate to abandon the whole OS just because of this, but it's irritating.

I have CM 11 on the nightlies. When I go in to change the wallpaper, regardless of the launcher that I use, I can only set them to either live wallpapers or a wallpaper that I used from my pictures. I am unable to use the default wallpapers that come with Cyanogenmod, Nova, etc.
I am wondering how I would approach setting wallpaper from image URL.
At the moment, I am using wallpaper manager to set the wallpaper from an ImageView.
The problem with this is that before the images gets sent to the ImageView, the image is resized and scaled down so that when the users are scrolling through the images, it will save memory and give a better image viewing experience.
