How to salvage a lvm/luks install from custom install

http://unix.stackexchange.com – I was battling with setting up a Mint install on an encrypted hard-drive, and I think I partially succeeded. But I cannot boot the system because some configuration is not correct, and since I'm a Linux noob, I have no idea how to fix it now. I also use only /boot as unencrypted ext4 partition mounted as /dev/sda3 (primary), swap and / on LVM volume which is logical, therefore actual / resides on /dev/sda5 which is in e (HowTos)
