Hey guys!
A couple weeks after release, I remain unable to install Handbrake on Ubuntu 12.10 64-bit. A while ago, I couldn't add the PPA (ppa:stebbins/handbrake-releases) at all, with Ubuntu telling me it couldn't find it.
As the title states I am looking for a good DVD ripper that isn't HandBrake. I have been using handbrake for a while now across different installs including older versions of Ubuntu and Arch Linux. I have never had any problems with it other than it was a bit slow at ripping. But with 12.04 whenever I launch HandBrake I just get a segmentation fault error and it closes itself out.
Soo..

Handbrake was recently updated to 0.9.8.
There does not appear to be a fedora version at the Handbrake site.
Does anyone know of a rpm that is Fedora 17 compatible?
Thanks

I'm running HandBrake 4913svn (x86_64) on 12.04 and trying to rip from DVD. HandBrake starts to encode, and a few seconds later announces 'Encode Done!' - which of course it's not. Anyone experiencing this, or know what's wrong?
Hello I'm trying to use CPUlimit with Handbrake. What I do is enter this command in terminal:
cpulimit -l 50 ghb
That will launch Handbrake, but when it starts the encoding it uses 10% of the CPU (so it shows in the system CPU monitor). What ever setting I do (besides) 100 it will only use about 10% of the CPU. Is there some kind of trick to it?
