my phone has been rooted, but it is said that the ics of xperia u will be OTA soon,so i want to restore to stock rom an relock bootloader.anyone can help?thanks in advance
I have had my Note II for a day now and I love it but I seem to have an issue. I rooted and installed CWM 184.108.40.206 (modified version by Philz I believe) using Odin and I of course made a backup of my stock rooted ROM before I started flashing anything but when I tried to restore my Nand it says that it cant find the files and cant open the location.
I have rooted my device and is currently running android revolution HD and now Im having some hardware problems so I want to take my phone to the service center since it's still under warranty. I want to restore to the stock rom and unroot it before i return it. But the thing is, the backup that I originally did is corrupted and I couldn't restore it to stock anymore.
I am selling my two Asus Transformer Primes and would like to know the best way to restore them back to 'Like New' condition. I have unlocked, rooted, and flashed several different ROMs on each of them (one of them currently has Virtuoso and the other is running CM9).
i have changed my rom and now i want to go back to my stock. i tried to use pc companion to restore the phone but when i did i got a message saying that i don't have the official rom (or something like that) and that i can not restore my phone to original. so i tryed to change my rom to the stock manually. but i dont know what .ftf file should i use.
So I dropped my phone today and now the screen doesn't work. I can get calls and the bottom row of buttons light up but screen stays black. Upon researching this, it appears the screen is bad now. I have insurance on phone and would like to take it to get repaired however, would like to unroot so the techs do not void my warranty when they see I'm rooted.
Had my nexus rooted since day 1 and never had any issues. Lately i've been trying to use Barclay's Pingit app which doesn't work on rooted devices. So i reflashed to stock through the galaxy nexus toolkit. I did get service on the stock rom, but i've since tried a nandroid restore of my CM10 and it appears to have screwed something up.
