How to reset Appearance Preferences' background folder

I'm trying to create a game.

I was in the appearance settings and I added some of my own custom wallpapers. It was all good, until I went back later only to find that all of the images I have imported where gone. Ever time I added them, they would disappear upon reopening of the appearance settings. Is there any way I can fix this?

Here is what I am doing:

Right-click on desktop > select "Change Desktop Background" > under the "Look" tab select "Wallpapers" from the drop-down menu > click on the "+" button to add new wallpapers to the selection > browse to the wallpaper and click "open" ...

Hello, I'm sure a few will have asked this question, but I can't find any solution on here so here goes.

Samsung Galaxy Ace GT-S5830. I once changed the appearance of my text messages, meaning, the colour/shape of the bubble and the background to like a note pad style, this looked much better.

I have over 100 images in my backgrounds folder. Is there an easy way to have Compiz Wallpaper use all images in a specified directory? Or is there a way to add all images easily from a folder to this list of background images? Adding each image at a time would be a time consuming task. I am using Ubuntu 12.04.

okay, how can i change the appearance of all the folders in ubuntu; like i changed the qppearance or logo icon of any one and now i expect it to happen to all the folders throughout the system. also, how can i change the styles of the fonts of folder names?
