I'm using Real ICS R6.
The problem is that it has integrated CPU Control into Settings menu. I have removed the CPU Control apk (using TB), because I use a third party app for overclock/undervolt, but the CPU Control is still in settings menu (If i click it I get an error - because I removed the apk).
How to remove the entry from settings menu?
Hi,
Installed Ubuntu 12.10 two days ago on the release day, and have to say I'm very happy with it.
Only problem I have is with this Facebook entry within the Messaging Menu.
I used Facebook to try the web apps feature, but didn't find a use for it so removed it from the launcher.
Hi,
I was running low on space, so used
Code:
sudo apt-get remove linux-image-3.2.0-2*
It remove all the older 3.2.0-2* kernels, but it also removed all entries for 3.2.0-3* kernels from the GRUB menu!
Now, I have no selection in the GRUB menu to boot into my linux installation!
After picasa/wine installation, I have wine as the top entry in my main menu.
I want to move it to another place in the menu, but it does not show up in settings->main menu (alacarte).
Googling returns mostly posts of people who uninstalled wine but still had the menu entry. I want to keep wine and the menu entry, but would just like to move it to the accessories-category if possible.
Hmm. I`ve never used the GUI. I`m always editing the files directly. But this new menu you are talking about... Is it a totally new right-click menu, or do you just want to add a new menu, inside the existing menu? Anyway, you should be able to add any items you want in the new menu, and remove them from the menus they were in.
The first thing I did with my 11.10 install, was to remove Unity, and replace it with a customized Cairo Dock.
That was months ago, and everything has been working great.
Today I powered up my system, and the global menu somehow returned?
All of my apps/windows still have their own individual menu's, but the main global menu has somehow found its way back onto the top of my screen.
The method

I have uninstalled backup assistant plus already. Does anyone know how to remove the words from the settings menu under Accounts? Thanks!
Dear all,
I managed to edit menu items by hand and I liked that kind of exercise.
Now, I did yum remove gnome-online-accounts but the item "Online Accounts" is still appearing in the user menu on the right side of the gnome panel when you click the quick-quit button.
I thought a little and did:
Code:
cd ~/.local/share/gnome-shell/extensions/Shut_Down_Menu@rmy.pobox.com/
