I think I have nailed it. I can now get my phone to do 27 hours of standby time at will. That's after having light battery drain, followed by a huge one, back to light and so on... So I've been where you are.
And here is the thing... Task manager and application manager are trash. They will not show you all running apps which in my opinion is highly misleading.
Hello all,
I need some help please !
I recently rotted my galaxy S2 and applied jelly bean ROM to it (X-Treme CM10)
All is working good till now.
But, when I long press the center button, I can only see recent apps.
In a previous post I wrote about an issue I was having with battery drain, that I was somewhat able to fix. After switching over to FI03 I noticed the drain wasn't so bad but obvious. The only way I can get a full days charge on my phone is to go into task manager and close every application before I put my phone in stand by and set it down.
Hi all,
New Android user here, came from the dark side.. how do you go about closing apps down? I've looked in both the settings > running apps and via a 3rd party app called 'Advanced Task Manager Pro' and I'm unable to close down GTA III on my Nexus 7.
How do I close out apps that I stopped using completely? I normally go on the bottom right, press the button and close them out. Do I have to go under settings, apps and stop the apps as well?

hi :)
is there any app that blocks another apps to start. for example if i close the facebook app and remove it from the memory with the task manager, facebook starts after 10 seconds again. i dont mean apps like task killer that kill the app after it started. i hope you understand my question :)
Sorry for my bad englisch :)
I was wondering if you have to manually close apps? I had to on my samsung charge or they would drain my battery in no time. And if you can or have to how do you do it? Also closing internet windows when I exit them there is always one left you cant close whats up with that?
Hi all, I have a X-Treme Tablet 7" Android ICS, when I run app or a game then I close it, why it is still running in the background, that makes a battery drains faster, how can I stop the apps or games from running in the background, also the word "force stop", what does that mean, please explain all details to me, thank you all.
Happy Holiday
Merry Christmas
My phone lasts for a good amount of time, but I checked today and one of the apps that's using around 34% of battery is Facebook. Even though I use a task killer to stop it it re-opens in the background using up battery power (even when I'm signed out). Is there anyway to prevent apps from doing this w/o being rooted? If there are apps that can help feel free to let me know please.
