I am setting up a notebook for software demo purpose. The machine has 8GB RAM, a Core i7 Intel CPU, a 128GB SSD, and runs Ubuntu 12.04 LTS 64bit. The notebook is used as a KVM host and runs a few KVM guests.
All such guests use the virbr0 default bridge.
Hello,
I'm using KVM on Fedora 12 x86_64 to run several virtual machines. I've set up a bridged network interface, as I need these virtual machines to co-mingle on the same network as the physical machines.
The bridge is setup as per the scripts below. I'm using the default F12 sysctl.conf.
Due to the lack of upstream support for Xen as dom0, I'm forced to resort to KVM.
What I'm trying to do is set up F11 as dom0 as my firewall and another F11 as domU as my server.
After googling, I've found very similar instructions on multiple forums.
This is what was instruction and what i've done:
hi everyonei have a problem with sysctl. when i run sysctl -p it shows me some errors about bridge. but after a while doesnt show bridge errors!!! what should i do?thanks in advance... [by seighalani]
Hi guys,
I have to change my graphics from ATI to my Mainboard's built in adapter.
It detects the adapter but give two only options for resolution : 640x400 or, 640x350.
How can I can set it to 1024x768 ?
[Note: My Desktop is XFCE]
Here is my lspci:
Code:
00:00.0 Host bridge: VIA Technologies, Inc. P4M800 Host Bridge
I am running CentOS 6.3 with NetworkManager disabled.
I was trying to set up a network bridge to try out setting up guests w/ kvm. I was creating a bridge before setting up stuff with kvm, just since I wasn't too familiar with it. Something didn't go right and I couldn't ping the gateway ip or anything past it with the bridge in place. The ip, netmask, and gateway are all correct.
HelloFirstly I am new to linux so be very gentle with me! :) I have crunchbang lite 9.04.01 installed on an old laptop and I am very pleased with it.
So I've been using Slackware for a long time but I'm not really sure where to start with this bug.
I have an Ubuntu Server machine which is acting as a VM host for KVM guests made with vmbuilder. I want to expose the VM's to the network. Currently, the VM guest can get out to the network, and I can get in to the VM from the host, but I can not access the VM from the outside.
On the host, I have set up a bridge br0 which includes the physical interface.
