I am trying to write two programs: a client and a server in linux. I'm trying to make the server create a shared memory segment, necessary semaphores, and then the client to send strings of characters in a buffer using the shared memory segment. I really do not know how to go about this and if anyone is willing to give me some direction then that'd be fantastic.
I am reading how malloc() and calloc() are able to allocate memory from heap and I came across a website (http://gribblelab.org/CBootcamp/7_Memory_Stack_vs_Heap.html) which says that "if you won't free the memory, it will be a memory leak and the memory won't be available for other processes to allocate the memory".
