I have installed the xfce meta package on a clean 12.04 install. When I start any app, it starts full screen, someimts the title bar is hidden. When I make the app window smaller, quit the app and restart it, it again starts full screen. Does anyone know why, and how to stop this?

I was running Google Chrome just fine but I noticed that was too many chrome process running, one of them consuming with high memory usage, so I decided to terminate that unique chrome process.
Since I did that, I having chrome black screen for all visited pages.
Have already tried to remove chrome from synaptic and installed it again but the black screen persists.

Does ayone know if there is a way to make the XFCE panels dodge windows so it only goes above when moused over? Or at least make it stay below full screen windows?I disabled struts with this:

I'm using the version of Skype from the Ubuntu Software Centre (skype 2.2.0.35-0precise3) but I can't for the life of me see how to make a video call full screen. All I have is a small window, dragging to the edges of the screen doesn't 'aero-snap' it larger.
Am I missing something really obvious, I can't see any full screen button, or work out a keyboard shortcut.
I am using Chrome and Chromium 16.0.912.75 (from the stable channels). I find the profile feature really useful. However, when new tabs are opened, or I launch Chrome for the first time, the window/tab opens in the last profile I was using.
Instead I'd like new tabs opened from external applications, and the first window opened by the launcher, to use the same profile every time.

Recently when I try and watch full screen youtube videos they have been playing in a small letter box - They have not 'full screened'
Vimeo & Dailymotion videos still fullscreen correctly.
This is NOT the problem of a youtube video appearing 'behind' the browser.
Hi guysThe last few days (well maybe only two days) chrome has been unstable and chrashed repeatedly. And yes - I mean crashed. All the tabs goes "snap something broke" - or what ever it is that chrome likes to say.
