Installed Eric IDE for python 3 Learning by using Ubuntu 12.04 LTS .
But Eric showing Python2.7.3 , not showing python 3 even its installed . so how can i configure Eric to show the python as python3 .
There are many syntax differences in python3. For example, the very first programming lesson of python2:print 'Hello World!'won't work in python 3. It has to beprint('Hello World!')But you can keep both python2 and python3 in archlinux. Just remember python means python3 and python2 means of course python2.
I'm a novice at Linux & Python but working through Mike McGraths book "Python in easy steps" using Ubuntu 12.04 LTS. First installed python3 (V3.2.3), and the default python 2.7.3 remains installed. I've been able to execute all the programming exercises (using python3 & some also run on python) until Chapter 8: Processing Requests, which requires Apache2 with mod_python .
