I'm working on a RHEL5 server that has PHP 5.1.6 installed by default. I need to upgrade PHP to PHP 3.x. I've tried several tutorials and have had no luck. Can anyone help me out with this?
I've got RHEL5 running in CLI mode on a powerful workstation. It was a Pentium Pro 200 Mhz, but was upgraded to the new Pentium II Overdrive 333 Mhz chip. This machine has 128 MB of RAM. The video card is an ATI Radeon 9250.
I am currently building out a new production environment. Our current prod env uses RHEL5.8 but I am thinking of building out a RHEL6 environment since a complete end-to-end testing will need to take place prior to go-live anyway.
I am running a RHEL5 box and I have xdmcp up and running. I want the hostname of this box showing up only in the xdmcp choosers of certain specific systems, and in RHEL5 using gdm, it appears the only way to prevent the name from appearing in all xdmcp choosers is to use the hosts.allow file.
