Hi,Since the last update of Libreoffice, the package libreoffice-writer depends on libreoffice-base and vice-versa.The last update of libreoffice-writer has led to install libreoffice-base.It's impossible to remove libreoffice-base or libreoffice-writer independently as before the latest update. Is it an upstream change or a problem with dependencies in the last build? Thanks
Hello, please excuse my bad english.I have a problem. Since the libreoffice update from 3.5.6 to 220.127.116.11 libreoffice don't start. For a short time i see the splash-screen and that's it. In the terminal, when i type soffice or lowriter or libreoffice --writer i can't see any message. Also i deleted the ~/.config/libreoffice folder. But that doesn't help.
iirc libreoffice-writer couldn't launch or was not showing its entry without libreoffice--base, but I'm not sure at this moment.EDIT: or maybe was something between Writer and Calc. Who knows. Just ignore my post.
Just update, Clean install, from 10.04 LTS to 12.04 LTS. Disappointed that OpenOffice was not included. In any case, attempting to use LibreOffice Writer was extremely frustrating and I still have not accomplished what I need to accomplish.
When I open LibreOffice Writer, click on File -> New -> Labels the program responds by closing.
When I minimize an open document I am working on in LibreOffice Writer, it disappears into the launcher panel. It does not show any little white arrow beside the LibreOffice writer icon. When I click it, it opens up a new document. I cannot get my original document back unless I do Super+W.
Does anyone have a fix, or is this a new bug? Running 12.04 LTS.
Strange...My computer crashed after an electrial outage. When I got it up again I reinstalled Ubuntu 10.04. Then I tried to install LibreOffice. I removed OpenOffice, as required, and took the steps necessary to install it. Steps that I have taken a few times before.
