On fc7-10 I was able to get them going after installing gstreamer packages with yum.
For fc11 I have followed half a dozen guides, installed numerous packages, but can't seem to figure out what is missing.
Anyone know what to install for mp3's on fc11 ?
I have been having trouble with firefox3.5 on my x86_64 FC11 install for a month now...firefox freezes my pc. So I used yum to remove firefox. Now I'm wondering if I could just use another rpm for firefox...could I use the 32 bit version safely? I found the rpm and started doing a local install with yum but it wants these dependencies:
What to do? After preupgrade and update fc11->fc12, system has a mixture (oh yeah) of fc11 packages and fc12 new ones. Dependencies problems, and even by removing, reinstalling packages sometimes it's picking up fc11 ones.
Hi, guys. I'm new to this forum, and I think it's great, keep up the good work.
Now with the problem. Couple of days ago I upgraded from F10 to F11. Everything is running smoothly, but today when i tried to install KDE I ran into a problem.
I have not been able to update in over a month. I get a message that says "Local file conflict between packages"
When I click on More Details, I get:
Test Transaction Errors: file /etc/fonts/conf.avail/25-unhint-nonlatin.conf from install of fontconfig-2.7.1-1.fc11.x86_64 conflicts with file from package fontconfig-2.6.99.behdad.20090508-1.fc11.i586

I just setup a new VM with Debian Squeeze (latest stable release, 6.0.4). I am going for a webserver, so I installed the usual... apache, php5, mysql, phpmyadmin, etc.
Everything went well, everything is working.
My question is about upgrading packages. I noticed the phpmyadmin version is 3.3.7... the latest is 3.4.10.1.
I noticed some packages are prefixed by a number in /var/log/yum.log:
Code:
Jun 19 10:05:58 Updated: cheese-2.26.2-1.fc11.i586
Jun 19 10:05:59 Updated: gstreamer-plugins-ugly-0.10.11-2.fc11.i586
Jun 19 10:06:23 Updated: 1:gnome-applets-2.26.2-1.fc11.i586
Jun 19 10:06:44 Updated: 1:gedit-2.26.2-1.fc11.i586
Thanks to John Lato and Duncan Coutts for the latest bugfix release! The latest packages should be buildable on GHC 7.6, and the cairo package should behave a bit nicer in ghci on Windows. Thanks to all!
