http://forums.fedoraforum.org – Hello friends, I have dell N5110 laptop, i have 94.4 GB available in C drive and having 3GB RAM installed on my PC, and there is also Windows 7 Ultimate edition is installed on my PC. now my trouble is i am going to install Fedora 16 or any Linux OS for the first time and i want to dual-boot it along with windows 7 on system, i want to dual boot fedora 16 without any effect on my existing data or on windows 7. i want guaranteed solution as data on my logical drives is very important so i cant afford to lose it in any way, so please help me friends.... (HowTos)

I have Windows 8 Enterprise Evaluation and Fedora 17, both OS are 64 bit, on dual boot. Windows and Fedora work OK, with one problem - i can not shotdown computer from Windows. When i hit Shutdown, computer begin shutdown, but there is no shutdown, only return me on windows login screen. Restart is OK, shutdown from Fedora also OK.

This problem only appears on dual boot Win8 - Fedo

Hi guys, i have at the moment a dual boot with Windows 7 and Ubuntu 9.04 each one in separate hard drives, when i installed Ubuntu it taked care of the dual boot system letting me choose wich OS to run when turned on.

Dear All Respected Members, i am new LINUX world. I have a dell Ci3 Laptop with Windows 7 Ultimate installed on it. Have 500 Gb Hard Disk installed with 4 partitions. Now i wanted to install Fedora 18 with dual boot along with windows 7 on a single hard disk. Can any body help me how to do so.

I have a laptop with 2 hard drives. 60 GB each I have winXP in harddisk 1 I want to install fedora on harddisk 2

I go through the installation of fedora 12 from DVD. but at the end when system reboots I do not get the dual boot menu. and laptop boots directly to windows.

I had Fedora 15 on a computer, dual booted with Windows 7. I did a fresh install of Fedora 17, but in the process I seem to have wiped out its capability to boot Windows 7, which I'm pretty sure is still on the disk.

My plan is to install grub on the /boot partition of the new Fedora 17 and then fix the MBR to boot Windows and use Easy BCD under Windows to dual boot.

I'm new to Fedora installation (my home box is Gentoo) and also new to dual-booting an EFI Windows box and Linux. Hence, I'm looking for a link to the easiest way to do this.

My current laptop is EFI and has Windows 7 installed. I'd like to dual-boot Windows 7 and Fedora 18. When I turn off EFI in the BIOS, my Windows 7 boots normally.

i have a bricked fedora 15(cannot run it, im stuck on a grub screen) and windows 7 as a dual boot. fedora is my primary boot but i cannot access windows 7 since fedora is bricked. my plan is to remove fedora 15 and run my windows 7 but i dont know how to do so.

At present I have a dual boot system with Windows 7 and Fedora 14. I want to re-install windows 7 but most probably it will replace Fedora's boot loader. I have a lot of things set up on Fedora. I want to keep these things intact.
