Hey Guys,

I've just installed Fedora 17 and it's just awesome! But i had one issue with Docky, i could install it just fine, but when i hit the Docky-anchor-button and select "zoom", it wont mark the button, so i can only have the boring 2D-view. Also, when i click on "Start when Computer starts", docky just crashes and the window closes itself!

I've created some disabled accounts for the sole purpose of customizing Docky in those accounts. Each account has a set of Docky Items that represents a tool set.

Plank is meant to be the simplest dock on the planet. The goal is to provide just what a dock needs and absolutely nothing more. It is, however, a library which can be extended to create other dock programs with more advanced features.

Can anyone tell me whether Gnome Docky can be compiled from source tar.gz for fedora as it is only provided as a deb package. If it is possible can anyone help with instruction to compile it?

But, in my own opinion, Docky provide something different that is more stable and nice looking, and easy to configure.

I recently had to bin my .cache, .config, .gconf, and .compiz-1 folders because unity got trashed for whatever reason.

Now for the life of me I cannot restore docky's old launcher set, no matter what I try it is blank. I mean, I can add them back manually, but why should I have to take the time to do that?
