I would like to increase the size of my buffer in my xterm window. My shell is bash and my home directory is auto mounted. I'm on Solaris 10, RHEL 5 and SLES 11 servers. Do you know where I can do this?
Its difficult to explain what I am exactly looking for, so let me try with an example..
Suppose i am finding a file . But once my searching ends.. I am not able to scroll up and see all the 1000 lines. The size of the screen buffer is obviously limited. Is there anyway I can increase this size ?
I was using syslog() to write logs. It seems that if the message is too long, it'll be truncated to a certain size when writing to log. So, how can I determine the max size of syslog buffer, and how can I increase this size? (Well, ideally I don't want to be limited by this.)
You need buffer pool a bit (say 10%) larger than your data (total size
of Innodb TableSpaces)
On the other hand I've read elswher that innodb_buffer_pool_size must be up to %80 of the memory. So I'm really confused how should I choose the best size for the pool. My database size is about 6GB and my total memory 64GB.
