Ok, I'm a stupid user, how do I install Crunchbang from usb drive? I am being returned to "cannot find cdrom" screen. Well that's cause I don't have it, I use netbook, as 90% of my friends do, as the majority of people do these days actually. They don't use, how do you call it, a cd thing. So how do I do it? Do I need to switch to another tty?

Just noticed a few days ago, one of the #! forum moderators @omns, had changed his nick to @itnahsmo and the signature to "retired". Well i just wanted to express my respect to my pal @omns, who, in the few interactions i had with him in this forum, showed me nothing else than respect, balance, disposal to help, and real care about #! and its community.
Well, trolling or not. If you actually want to zero-fill your hardrive, wiping it clean (you loose everything on the drive), but then you are free to do a fresh install Windows or whatever you want on your drive.
I recently came across a post-Debian-netinstall script on omns's blog and this got my interest. I played a little bit with a Debian netinstall and omns's script in Virtualbox, but I can't get it to work. I thought I'd try to do it manually, so I can see whether this is script-related or my own thing. Now I just installed the base system.
Hello friends,I've had this problem for near 6 months now, and haven't been able to find any information about it (I don't like to impose on people by asking about such things). When transferring videos to an SD card, or USB flash drive, I am unable to unmount afterwards.
I have been trying (and failing) to install Crunchbang 11 off of a USB for a few hours and have finally reached a roadblock I can't get passed.I used Win32Imager to put the image on a USB drive as is recommended. When I tried to install Crunchbang 10 it could not find my Ethernet card/driver, so I looked around online and saw some posts indicating that for my mobo a installation of Crunchbang
I got this netbook recently, and I'd love to install crunchbang on it, but I've hit a snag on installing it.I made a live USB of crunchbang with unetbootin, and the live environment seems to be fine, but when I go to install it, I can't get past the mounting cd drive part. I always says that it can't be mounted because there's obviously no CD drive in this thing.
