Minitube, an application that aims to provide a completely different YouTube experience, has just reached version 2.0.
Minitube 2.0 will allow users to find missing parts of a multipart video, sort videos by relevance, date, view count and rating, filter videos by publication date, video duration and video quality, and much more.

Minitube has been working great for a lot of the youtube links, but for videos that require confirmation that you're older than 18, they don't work. Is there something I can do about this?

There are two simple way to download a YouTube video in Ubuntu / Linux Mint – using a desktop application (gui based or a terminal utility) or using a plugin – in your favorite browser such as Firefox or Google Chrome.
I was trying to installing YouTube lens and scope from Ubuntu.
I typed the following in the terminal:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:atareao/lenses
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install lens-video scope-youtube
The output is:
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
E: Unable to locate package lens-video

Does anyone use MiniTube for there Youtube videos ?
I downloaded this but it does not show any videos just descriptions where the video would be
Any ideas whats wrong ?
I'm having trouble with getting access to Youtube's content via the Unity lens. I thought it was my computer's proxy problem in general, however Wikipedia and Ask Ubuntu lenses both are able to connect.
Youtube lens shows the general "sorry there is nothing that matches your search" message. Any one experienced this before?
