I booted live image of crashbang on my Asus Eee SeaShell e/w a Broadcom Corporation BCM4313 802.11b/g/n Wireless LAN Controller and it is not recognized. It IS recognized by the currently loaded OS - PeppermintOS (http://peppermintos.com/) based on Ubuntu.
Hi to all the #! fans :DFor all of us who has the "lucky" to have a bcm4313 wireless card, you will notice that there is a lot of post in this forum with questions about it. I took the liberty of reading some of them and I will try to make a little summary.
I am unable to get my BCM4313 active. Enable Wireless is grayed out under the network icon. Right now, I am using the directions from this site.
I have Ubuntu 12.04 using Broadcom BCM4313 and can't get it to successfully connect to my wifi. I'm sure the problem is not with my wifi since other devices are able to connect. It detects networks but whenever I try to connect, I only get "Connection Failed".
I checked my drivers, modules and blacklist but I'm not sure if there is something I'm missing.

I have the same problem with BCM4313 on Dell Vostro 3500. I'm using wicd too. System freezes instantly. If I enable wifi before booting, linux freezes while starting.
Help please. Put it on the computer ubuntu 11.10 64bit. Used the response in the topic WiFi does not work, Broadcom STA Wireless driver does not work on a BCM4313 but this does not help. Computer Lenovo z570, wifi card Broadcom Corporation BCM4313
When choosing Network Manager > Enable Wireless nothing happens. WiFi not enabling.

Hi everyone! I'm new to Crunchbang, and so far I'm enjoying the experience! However, there's one thing I can't get to work right. I have a broadcom BCM4313 wireless network card, and I followed the directions in the Wiki. The Wifi works, somewhat. However, it is very slow. Approximately 117 kb/s, whereas my wired connection speed is approximately 10mb/s.
