How to get rid of conflict packages

I have just started to work with Fedora after many years with Ubuntu. I have installed Fedora 17 32bit on an acer aspire one d270. Everything works fine except I am having problems with the antivirus issue.

I am running OS X server 10.8 ClamXAV is built in. I have installed and am running squidman (Squid proxy server). I'd like to install HAVP and get it up and running.

The error I get when I ./configure:

checking for ClamAV scanner library... clamav-config not found

Error finding ClamAV installation!

Seems that Clamav doesn’t update antivirus definition since 30-August-2012

My ubuntu version is 12.04.

I have installed clamav as root user using the below commands.

apt-get install clamav apt-get install clamav-daemon

But when I use the below command

clamd PING

It gives below error message.

ERROR: initgroups() failed

Am I missed anything?

I've packaged up clamav into some rpms for distribution inside our rhn, however I'm having some issues with dependency resolution when doing upgrades.

the spec file builds 4 packages: clamav - contains the main files clamav-db - contains the virus definition files libclamav - contains the clamav libs libclamav-devel - contains devel files

After installing clamav and clamtk, when doing freshclam i receive this message:

freshclam ERROR: Can't create temporary directory /var/lib/clamav/clamav-f52645d8e80b9b727228734e339d231d Hint: The database directory must be writable for UID 1000 or GID 1000
