Well, my second post here and I guess it's my first real glitch. There seem to be a lot of threads on various Broadcom controllers - so far nothing suggested has worked, hence I'm starting one of my own.
Just installed 9.10 on a dual-boot compaq nx9105 that already had WinXP on it. This is my first time with Linux at home.
lspci tells me I have the following:
Hello,
I am not sure if this is the right area to ask this question, so if it is not I am sorry. First off I am very new to Linux, and thought I would start out with openSuse.
A while ago I posted this: http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...-0-5-a-826853/
I have since switched to Fedora 12 (still on the same computer) and I realize I made a dyslexic mistake earlier, I referred to the hardware as 4537 rather than 4357.
Here is the Broadcom page for Linux Wireless driver: http://www.broadcom.com/support/802.11/linux_sta.php

Yesterday we just got message from Yanuar Harry (Squadzone) that he want to giving back the SGY that we have given to him, because Broadcom won't release the Driver. So, CM7 will never be on SGY.
Support us to force Broadcom to release the Driver for our device.
I've installed 13.1 on a laptop with a Broadcom 4311 wifi card. I grabbed the slackbuild http://slackbuilds.org/repository/13.../broadcom-sta/ for it and it loads but when I assign an essid it never associates with my AP.
Hi,
I am trying to install drivers for my bcm4312 wireles card on ubuntu server 13.04. I have followed instructions on http://www.broadcom.com/docs/linux_sta/README.txt and tried to both compile source and using apt-get install bcmwl-kernel-source.
I was having a terrible time getting the Broadcom 4328 chipset working under 11.2, I however got it working by using the install_bcm43xx_driver and then searching for broadcom on software.opensuse.org/search until i found the broadcom-sta driver. I did not want to use ndiswrapper, i consider this cheating.. :)
I need help with connecting to my network in fedora 17. My Laptop is lenovo G580 and it has Broadcom 4313 wireless driver. The network shows up sometimes but doesn't allow me to connect.
Aloha,I have a problem with broadcom 4313 wireless chipset. After clean installation of the system ip link set wlp1s0 up returned rf-kill error. It was a hsrdware block. I downloaded broadcom-wl driver from AUR, makepkg it and pacman -U it. Then rmmod ssb; rmmod bcma; modprobe wl. After that I was able to ip link set wlp1s0 up. The interface is UP!
