https://bbs.archlinux.org – You could try 'testdisk'  It's in extra and is also available on the SystemRescueCD.  'testdisk' is a tool to recover lost partitions, but I wouldn't hold much hope for it to be successful for you.Included with testdisk is 'photorec'.  It's a file recovery tool.  It ignores the filesystem and tries to recover the data recorded.  It isn't limited to just image files, many other file types: text, office formats, mp3 and other files can be recovered.  I've saved other people's "deleted" files on se (HowTos)

Could someone please help me recover my lost files. I accidently deleted them ( from the recycle bin too ) I am running dual boot with windows 7 i believe, and i have tried the testdisk and undelete process. neither have seemed to work for me. i lost about 200Gb of audio and videos. I believe that my main problem is that i didnt use the system partition to store all those files.

For me, testdisk has saved my ass twice. I suggest looking for a liveCD that has it and see if testdisk can recover your partition table.

Hi i accidently deleted all of my images from the internal SD-Card. I have a rooted Galaxy S3 and booted in recovery and did a:

adb shell dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p12 > int_sdcard.dd

Now i have a 12 GB int_sdcard.dd file.

I cancelled gparted operation by mistake .Now one of the partition became corrupted ,what to next? Should I format it? Data is important to me ;(

Edit1: I tried to recover partition using testdisk and successfully recoverd losted partition ,but another partition(an extended partition containing ubuntus ) gone ,How to recover it?

So I installed ubuntu clicking on Installed over windows 7 ( which I thought was going to use my W7 partition only NOT de whole HDD). So I deleted a 300GB data partition on a 750 GB HDD.
