Hello, I want to install piwik and have some questions about Slackware PHP,MYSQL options.
I'd configure my Apache, PHP, Mysql from
how-to-run-apache-php-mysql-on-startup-and-install-phpmyadmin-slackware-12-2, but have Slackware 13.1
PDO and MYSQLI are already in my php.ini.
Code:
extension=bcmath.so
extension=bz2.so
extension=calendar.so
extension=ctype.so
extension=curl.so

I noticed that I can read text files without an extension (.txt) just fine. How come? Should I save these files with or without the .txt extension?
Also, what about ini files? I usually use them like this: config.ini, should I remove the extension here to?
Any general resources on how Linux handles file extensions would be useful.
I discovered yesterday that Banshee (through Ubuntu Software Center) had an extension for Lyrics and I immediately installed it. It was awesome to read and sing my favorite songs but then everything went down when Journey's - Don't Stop believing had no Lyric. In my world this is unacceptable. I mean come on is Journey. That is like McDonalds not selling burgers anymore.
Let's assume I have a program X that uses files with the extension .xez. How can I make X the default application for all files with the extension .xez?
My first idea was xdg-mime default X.desktop application/.xez. Yet this does not work.
Files with the extension .xez are still associated with Gnome Archive Manager since files with .xez represent a sort of .zip archive.
I had errors with apt-get update && apt-get dist-upgrade, from mono mono, so I tried this instead:
sudo apt-get install --reinstall banshee banshee-extension-soundmenu banshee-extension-ubuntuonemusicstore giver libappindicator0.1-cil libart2.0-cil libavahi1.0-cil libgconf2.0-cil libgdata1.7-cil libgkeyfile1.0-cil libglade2.0-cil libglib2.0-cil libgmime2.4-cil libgnome-vfs2.0-cil libgnom
Hi there all
Ive just installed Linux 11.04. I thought I would import my music library, which are all mp3's. Banshee says its missing a plugin, and wants to search to find one.
Banshee's Amazon MP3 Import extension until recently allowed seamless importing of songs purchased from Amazon MP3.
Linux newbie here, had a kernel panic and didn't know how to fix it so I reformatted.
I didn't delete my old extension and recently mounted it so I could retrieve the data. I was wondering if there was any way I could make it the extension to my current native without deleting any of the data?
I had to reload my sound drivers because ubuntu had stopped recognizing my sound drivers and I got sound back except from banshee. I have played videos and those worked fine. Everything else seems to have sound. I checked the volume within banshee and it was all the way up. I tried upgrading banshee and it the highest upgrade. I tried downgrading banshee and same thing no sound.
