How to find default password for your router-any brand

This post is not directly related to ubuntu. It is indirectly related in the sense that I use ubuntu.

The issue I have was that the internet in my place was not working for some time. They fixed it, but reset the router and changed all the passwords. Now, I don't think that the default configuration of that router is secure.

I'm trying to access & configure my wireless router's options.

The wireless router is a Linksys E2000 and the default gateway's IP address is 192.168.33.1

I've gotten into the router setup by simply typing this address into Internet Explorer and using the particular router's default username and password.

I just installed a new router, Actiontec from Verizon, and I had to change the user name and password. Now I can't connect. My Nexus 7 sees my router but when it asks for the password I put in the new router password and Nexus tells me authentication problem. When I enable "show password" on Nexus nothing shows so I'm not sure what password it is asking for.

I have Ubuntu 11.04 and I would want to uptate it. However, my ubuntu does not link to my router wireless.

I have a Linksys WRT router with Tomato firmware 1.28 which I loaded about a year ago and since that time router worked just fine, until yesterday. I was astonished when I found out that the router suddenly had all factory default settings including admin password. There was a power blackout in our area just yesterday, maybe also a voltage shock more than standard 230 V.

A little backstory...

Last fall we migrated our ISP from AT&T to Comcast at one of our offices. At that time, we received a new modem/router from Comcast and we configured everything to our liking.
