Hopefully someone knows a bit about the nvidia drivers. I am trying to install the drivers on a Lenovo Y580 that has a GTX 660M, running 12.04 64 bit.

I am using 12.04 on my laptop. I read somewhere that battery life ubuntu (45 mins in my case, vs 4 hrs in win7) could be improved by using the correct graphics driver.
I have nvidia gforce gt 540m.
Nvidia driver 302.17 was released on Jun 15, with many improvements, bug fixes and new features.

i'be installed the driver (cause the app on menu did nothing) with the folowing:

I have Ubuntu 10.10 on Lenovo W520 with NVidia Quadro 1000M and Intel Integrated graphics cards. The following code only gets 260.19.06 rather than 260.19.12, the newer version is required for Bumblebbe Problem installing Bumblebee on Ubuntu 10.10

I can't figure out how to install the graphic card NVS 5200m shipped with.
I tried to install the driver from nvidia website with no success
the generated xorg.conf don't contain any module declaration
