How to Enable or Disable Additional Features in Windows Vista or Windows 7

http://www.liberiangeek.net – Very few people bother with enabling or disabling additional features in Windows. Most people don’t know that not all features are enabled in Windows by default. If you need to perform some tasks and can’t find the programs or services to use, it’s most likely that the programs or services are not enabled or not installed.   In this brief tutorial, I’ll show you how to enable features in Windows that are disabled by default and make your life a bit easier. This can also be applied to programs and services that you want disabled.   To get started, click Start –> and in the search box, type the terms ‘Programs and Features’ without the quotes. Then select the link in the list.     2) Click on ‘Turn Windows features on or off’ link on the left.     3) Put a check in the box next to the program or feature you want to enable. To disable a program or feature, uncheck the box.     4) The plus (+) next to the program means that there’s more in the program group. To disable all program in the group, uncheck the top folder.     When you’re done with your selection, click the OK button to save.
