http://forums.androidcentral.com – I know some of you were disappointed when the apps thread was removed. I am also aware that some of you may not want to root your devices, but you do want the ability to add apps to the multi-window. This post is meant to assist users with modifying an apk file for use with the Multi-window feature on the Galaxy Note II. Root is not needed. Ok after my last attempt to do this didn't go so well I'm looking at another method of getting multi-window support for all apps.

This seems to fit what I'm running. Stock VZW rom with the exploit mod used to root. Seems pretty easy till I get down to the warning.

Hi, okay so i have a non-rooted Note 2, and i've seen videos in which people has some apps (such as twitter, kakao talk, facebook, gmail.. etc) in their multi-window tab but i don't have them in my multi-window tab.

and also i want to know something about rooting: Risks: Why would i want to do it: Do i lose my warranty doing it?

We previously reported that some Samsung Galaxy Note II’s didn’t have the advertised multi-window support, but an update that is rolling out today will fix that. This will allow Galaxy Note II owners to split the 5.5″ screen in half and run two android apps at the same time. The original Galaxy Note had a similar feature, but it was limited to only Samsung apps.

I've just downloaded the new update for Samsung Galaxy S3, and it seems that I am very restricted to the apps that can use the multi-window feature.

Is there anyway of adding other apps to this?

Also I do not have the option of the Facebook ticker on my lock screen. Any ideas why not?

  I have some sad news for those of you in the UK who happened to splurge on a brand new Galaxy Note II smartphone. While we expected devices outside Korea to feature that awesome and coveted multi-window multitasking feature, it appears that some of the international models released in the UK do not feature the customized multi-window multitasking feature.

Multi-View enhances the multitasking capabilities of the Galaxy Note II, allowing you to run two apps on the screen simultaneously.

  It’s a great time to be an owner of the Canadian variant of the Samsung Galaxy Note II smartphone as there is a big time update that is finally on the way.

On the other hand, if you are running firmware version N7100XXALIH, as many people are, the feature should be working as you would expect.

Sprint began rolling out an update to their Note 2 devices to add the multi-window feature, which so far has been absent on US Note 2 devices.

Hopefully AT&T's update won't take longer than two weeks, as this feature looks fantastic and unique.
