Perhaps some kickstart guru has a better answer, but I believe you will either need to adjust the kickstart file, or create the VMware VM with IDE drives. [by pschaff]
I'm trying to create a kickstart for a headless server that has an Aspeed AST 2050 video chip. It's my understanding that this chip allows for a serial display on either the BMC or via the video connector. Configuring for the device needs a /dev/ttyS0 and I cannot figure out how to make kickstart setup for the device. I'd like to be able to install in either graphic or text mode.
Hello,
I have successfully setup a kickstart environment for installing the original Fedora 13 using PXE/DHCP/TFTP. Now I want to build a customized kernel and install it using the same Kickstart setup.
I followed the instructions that the answer on this thread gave,
Easiest way to setup Ubuntu as a VPN server
But I can't seem to get it to work. When I try to connect to my network, it just says the server can't be reached. I setup the remote ip options (which I uncommented) to be 10.0.2.2-100. My router serves out 10.0.1.2-250. I also have users setup, but they are uncommented as well.
I have a suggestion: When a thread is close as a duplicate, STATE THE DUPLICATE THREAD! We still need to find answers to the questions, and search does not always yield the needed results, even when the answer we are looking for is avaialable. So if a thread is closed for duplication, please state the duplicate thread so folks can still find the answer they need!
