I installed the Indicator-Applet-Complete, then decided to remove it. ALT+Right Click brought up the dialog Move and Remove from Panel.
I clicket Remove from Panel but it added a second instance of the Applet. Repeated Removes, now I have top panel full of Indicator-Applet-Completes, do not know how many.
How can I remove this applets?
Michael
Have you ever gone through the items listed in the "add to panel" option? If not, then you are missing one of the finest GNOME features. It has a great number of some really useful applets. I just ran into one of them, Deskbar applet and believe me, when they say its an "all in one" tool they are not kidding.
Is there any printer panel applet for Gnome under FC12? Adding an applet to a panel brings a list of applets, but there is no print related one.
with gnome-fallback and classic gnome shell, we had gnome applets available, but not in Unity. There was a system monitoring applet there that I could see may CPU and network bandwith used. I'm pretty sure that I can not have the same applets in Unity, at least not yet, from Can I use GNOME applets in Unity?.
Do you actually need the second GNOME panel at the bottom? Or is it just taking up precious screen space?
Those are one of the questions I asked myself today. Having two panels, in my opinion, is just too much (get it?). All of the applets at the bottom fit perfectly at the top and removing the extra panel also holds various advantages like:
You don't really want to be using anything gnome, as if its a gnome-panel applet it wont work in tint2. If I wanted to have netspeed info at boot up I would configure conky to show it. But I think you can put some pretty ugly netspeed applets in the tint2 panel dock though- just as ugly as the gnome ones. Or you might want to try fbpanel.
i use gnome-shell ............nm-applet,power-manager ....disappeared from panel after "pacman -Syu............in pacman -Syu....
I run Xmonad within a Gnome 3 fallback session.Whenever I'm resuming from suspend, the top panel applets disappear until after 3-5 minutes. If my battery is low, the battery applet shows an empty gauge. However, after charging to 100% (confirmed by tooltip hover) the gauge still shows the battery as empty.
For those missing network applet.
