I'm running gentoo with XFCE. When I add a .desktop file to ~/.local/share/applications the program does not show up when I start the application finder from shortcut or menu. It does however show up when I start from a terminal. I assume that this means there is some sort of application cache that must be reloaded or a service that needs to be restarted but I can't figure out which ones.
Hi. I have a System76 Lemur Ultra Thin (lemu4) notebook PC and I just installed Red Hat Fedora 19 64 bit. I installed Fedora Utils and I used it to install Teamviewer 8. The installation was successful, but I can't launch the program.
