I'm trying to emulate a GoDaddy Deluxe Web Hosting Linux package (it appears to be a shared LAMP environment) to setup a development VM. Details on the precise setup GoDaddy uses for this are sparse and difficult to find.
Does anyone know...
What distro do they use?
Is it a custom server environment or commonly-used turnkey web hosting appliance?

I have recently been delegated the task to setup a CA in our domain environment and have a question on why Microsoft does somethings the way they do lol. I have been trying to read up on what the best practices are for going about this task, and have decided that in an ideal CA environment you should have one “offline” Root CA, and then two subordinate CAs for redundancy/issuing the certs.
With Puppet and Vagrant, you can automate creating a complete new development environment.
Setting up a development environment for a web application can seem simple—just use SQLite and WEBrick or a similar development server—but taking shortcuts can quickly lead to problems. What happens when you need to onboard new team members? What if your team members are geographically distributed?
I am having a development setup where the entire environment is hosted on linux machines. Whenever I need to test a code change and debug it, I would need to build a new war file on my Windows machine and deploy it on the tomcat instance running on the linux machine, followed by a restart.
