Hi everyone. Long-time reader, first time poster here.
Well, I've gotten myself in a bit of a jam. My Relay is rooted and has CWM 6.0.1.2 running the stock ROM per one of the awesome devs working on this phone. In a bout of zeal, I found a guide for installing Google Wallet on unsupported devices that involved editing the build.prop file to have the device identify itself as another.
For whatever reason the video is upside down. I've found a fix however it involves editing the build.prop. I am thinking about making a backp of build.prop and just swapping it out as I use fring.
Quote:
Edit your /system/build.prop entities to be as follows:
ro.product.manufacturer = Samsung
ro.product.model = Nexus S
That is the fix.
1. looking through the build.prop i see this line ro.hdmi.enable=false.
what does that mean?
2. can i change things in the build.prop with root explorers option? if so...
3. what would be a good setting for lcd density, wifi scan, dalvik vm heapsize?
4. another line says ro.lge.capp_optimusui=true (this one makes me scratch my head.. optimus ui?):confused:
After obtaining root i decided i wanted to see games and apps not shown in play. so off t build.prop. by editing the device and make to gt-i9100 and samsung using editor found on market. i wasnt able to download from market. but when i got apk and went to download sd files it worked. and finish downloads of dh3 and nova 2 with no glitches yet.
hi all my problem is this I have tried to edit the build.prop from my xperia x8 I tried with root explorer saves all changes but vuelver reset everything to be the same as if nothing happened ep even leave it blank is rebuilt again and I have roamed this aver if alguen can help
my x8 with rom x8droid this rooteado v.6.0.5
I am in need of build.prop configuration that lets me play most graphic intensive games. I edited my build.prop only this much
Now I was thinking now that the Nexus 4 is out if we could use its build.prop for even more playable apps.
I just flashed the 2.13 stock ROM, edited my build.prop to get around the linkify issue (ro.da1.enable=false, etc), however, the App associations menu is still listed in my settings menu, and my calendar app now points me to the browser instead of the calendar.
Can someone edit build. Prop to spoof play market to say we have the nexus s developer phone to run all the badass games I read online that the nexus s has no application restrictions
Need Stock build.prop for updating to 4.1.2 I get Status 7 build.prop in CWM and red triangle is stock recovery [B]Need Untouched, 4.1.1 build.prop[B]
Thks! :)
