hello All,
I have one UPS for two servers.
The first one, 192.168.1.124, is directly connected to the UPS via usb cable, and is running apcupsd without problems with the following apcupsd.conf setup:
NETSERVER on
NISIP 127.0.0.1 192.168.1.125
NISPORT 3551
Hello.
I am running Ubuntu Server x64 12.04. I have apcupsd properly running.
Fedora 17, Gnome 3.4.2, apcupsd-3.14.10-4.fc17.i686
I'm mystified as to why the wall messages from apcupsd don't appear on my terminal when other wall messages do.
Permission is turned on:
$ mesg
is y
If I start a second terminal and logon as root, then send a wall message (26 chars), the messages appears on my "normal user" terminal and the "root" terminal.
I have a ups connected to a Linux server with a usb cable, i installed apcupsd demon and i was wondering how to instruct it to run a shell script i created when a special condition occurs?
i.e. the battery is 25% percent or the time left is 10 minutes so this condition can run the script?
"hid-generic 0003:051D:0002.0001: control queue full"
Is the error message I'm getting on kernel 3.6.1-1 for Fedora 17 in my messages log. I looked around and found this was supposed to be fixed a while back in an older kernel.
Hi there
I'm having a few issues with openvpn.
I just got a second monitor so I can have dual screens on my desktop computer. I just upgraded to the 12.04 Beta because I thought it supports multiple monitors. My main monitor is plugged into my NVIDIA Corporation GT218 [GeForce 210] and the other monitor that I am trying to get working is plugged into the VGA head on the Motherboard and that one isn't being detected.
Is it possible to run acpupsd on server core 2012?
I went out and bought some Back-UPS (with USB cable signalling) to run some Hyper-V servers before I realized "that wont work" :-)
Back-UPS are not supported by Business Edition, which does support Server Core.
Back-UPS are supported by personal edition, but Personal doesnt seem to support Server Core (it's personal, right?)
So I went out forag
NUT supports many UPS, apcupsd is APC-centric :)The eaton powerware 5115 doesn't work with nut 2.2.0, but with 2.4.3 all is ok.You can try the nut rpms I have recompile... [by mspallacci]
