I have tor running in my ubuntu.
I want to make ubuntu like a proxy server but this proxy server must use tor proxy as source.
let me explain:
A: tor proxy: 127.0.0.1:9050 (SOCKS5)
B: ubuntu (route tor proxy to phone as a proxy server)
C: my Phone (wants to use tor proxy)

I have access to internet connection through an authenticated proxy server.
I got APT to work with this by changing wgetrc and other files.
Third party apps (such as thunderbird,empathy) that access the internet are not able to work with the network connection.
Any pointers on how I can get them to work with authenticated proxy connection would be much appreciated.

I have 2 servers running CentOS 6
I have a server A, that has 2 network cards. eth0 is a private test network. eth1 is the corporate network, where a proxy server must be used to access the internet. On this server I use
export http_proxy=http://proxyserver:3128/
and am able to access the internet.
I have a server B that has 1 network card.
Here's what I've got setup:
Windows Service Account with internet access
A .NET application which allows setting the proxy settings
Host
Port
Username
Password
When running this application the proxy server logs are showing that the credentials are being passed to the proxy server and the proxy server is allowing the traffic.
After some confirmation that I have thinking right in this scenario.
We have a number of wired and wireless machines which presently have direct internet access. I also have a Linux (Ubuntu) server which is used as a file server for the network.
Essentially I would like to be able to turn internet access on and off for machines.
My plan is to block these machines by MAC address at the router.

I have a server with two different jobs, the first job is openvpn, the second is to be a proxy.
The sever has two network interfaces with two different networks (internet connections).
The first network is the internal network. This network has a 2 mbit internet connection with static ip which should be used to access the openvpn server.
