Like another person in this forum, I bought the AWUSO36H 802.11 B/G Long-Range USB Adapter for my computer running latest version of Ubuntu.
Problem is - I can't install the drivers. I open the CD folder and double click the runsetup but the following message comes back:
Archive: /media/USB Series/autorun.exe
[/media/USB Series/autorun.exe]
End-of-central-directory signature not found.
I purchased a netgear wireless usb adapter. I used the package manner to download ndiswrapper. Then since the first step is supposed to be to run the CD, I put it in but it wont run. Even if I manually click on autorun.exe I just get this error message
Archive: /media/cdrom0/Autorun.exe
[/media/cdrom0/Autorun.exe]
I have two scripts: "autorun.py" and "main.py". I added "autorun.py" as service to the autorun in my linux system. works perfectly!
Now my question is: When I want to launch "main.py" from my autorun script, and "main.py" will run forever, "autorun.py" never terminates as well!
I am either reading the man page incorrectly or have misconfigured my scrotwm.conf, but I can't get applications to load in their designated workspaces.
I recently purchased an Alfa AWUS036NH wireless card. The installation is seamless on my windows machines, but the install CD will not run on my linux machines. The wireless card will show up as wlan1 (which is a good thing right?) on my linux machines alongside my wlan0, and I can use it with no problems... but the perplexing thing is i cant get the software to autorun and install.
Perhaps it's a silly question but I've recently purchased a new motherboard and of course it came with a CD with it's drivers only for Windows systems (you know, the Autorun cr@p and all that)
So, should I somehow try to obtain these drivers from the vendor for my Linux system or is that not necessary since the OS installation will take care of it by itself?
Hello, everybody.
I am very new to using Ubuntu and I don't really know much about any OS. I am trying to install my VGA drivers from a CD I recieved with my new laptop, but the autorun is an .exe file. I installed wine and tried to run it with that and I get a message saying the device isn't plugged in.
I recently installed the newest version of Ubuntu on my laptop after Windows decided to stop working properly. I use my laptop for recording music so it's important that I get my gear to work with linux.
I installed the program I use with Wine and I have a recording interface that is connected to my computer through a firewire expresscard.
Hi everybody, I've just bought a wlan usb adapter: Wireless nLite mini-size USB Adapter (EW-7711UMn), and I would install the drivers in my UBUNTU 9.10.
I would use the windows drivers with ndiswrapper, but inside of the CD there is no trace of .inf file!!!
I try to find it in internet but only a zip pack is available... and inside no .inf file
