I found vlc was uninstalled after a recent update:vlc:
Depends: vlc-nox but it is not going to be installed
Depends: libavcodec53 but it is not going to be installed
Depends: libavutil51 but it is not going to be installed
Depends: libqtcore4 (>=4:4.7.0~beta1) but 4:4.6.3-4+squeeze1 is to be installed

How do i fix this?
I also did sudo apt-get -f install but same error

Tried installing 'kubuntu-desktop' from synaptic manager. But, failed showing the following error-

I have been trying to install gimp 2.7.5 for a few days now but keep getting this message:

I'm running 32-bit Ubuntu 12.04.
I am trying to install OpenCV on Ubuntu 10.10 to use it with python.
The problem that I am facing is related to installing gtk2.0-dev.
I always get the following error

Apparently nothing can simply "Come easy" on Ubuntu. So I try installing GIMP and here is what it says. I'll need a very noob friendly way to fix this. Anyone know anything?
