I am a newbie and have a few questions.
If I send an email through my gmail account I get the following error message:
Code:
server sendmail [15257]: ERROR => ERROR => SMTP-AUTH: Authentication to smtp.gmail.com: 25 failed.
I'd like to use my gmail account connected via exchange activesync. I set that up with various email apps and it works nicely.
The only problem is that I don't use my gmail address as my known email address. I have an alias that points to gmail.
This is my first android phone, SPrint Galaxy Note 2. My Google Account thus the play store email address is not associated with any gmail email, and I do have a few gmail accounts I want to put in to the stock gmail app. Problem is when I try to start the stock gmail app, it wants to automatically attach to my Google Account email.
Can I delete the app and re-install?
Hello all,
I'm having problems with my email server setup.
I've installed postfix, and courier. As well as SquirrelMail to access the mail. I can send and receive just fine with a few other email servers I tested. But I fail to receive any email from gmail.
I need to get email for event notifications from our RocketRaid 2782.
The problem is I don't see a way to get it to send mail to our google apps gmail account. I don't think the card offers authenticated email.
I have a client who has a server but does not host their own email. They have just purchased a MFC and want to scan-to-email. I have them set up to send mail to gmail, however if they try to send to an email address outside the gmail network it doesn't go through. I've racked my brain on this all day, what can I do?
Thanks

I am still relatively new to Linux and I'm still learning my way around the file system. I'm using Fedora 10. I want to send email from the command line, so I did a test. I typed the following:

entered subject
entered body
hit control + D
Every day
I get an error mail from the server, about an email that could not be sent.
The error mail is sent successfully by ssmtp.
The mail that failed to get delivered, is failed because it's sent by the cron service to:
andre@odin2 (no such email address exist)
Technical details of permanent failure:
DNS Error: Domain name not found
I've tried to force all CRON email to go to corr
