I am a long time user of U1, but only use it occasionally. I like DejaDup. I am trying to understand the implications of dejadup being used to send backup files to U1.
I have previously come to understand that U1 is mirroring a sync folder, which is fine for convenient syncing and music and stuff.
On My server i have set local backup daily, weekly and monthly. last night some one deleted a account from server. now since the daily backup was takes yesterday night it does not had the data there. weekly backup is too old. what can be done to avoid this state i had similar issue before also.
i want to retain last 7 days data on server.
I am testing 2008R2 file server, and part of it, is that I need to create backup of the file and folders in it (mainly dev GIT repository - changes daily)
I wanted to use Backup Services - however, when selecting to save to a remote folder (our backup server) there will only 1 version of the backup source kept
I don't feel comfortable with that.
Hi,
I've set up my cpanel to remote backup to an ftp.
Everything is fine and I have set up daily, weekly, monthly backup retention.
A backup once a day.
Now the backup for monthly is ok always just one backup for the last month.
But for the weekly's and daily's it is just one backup from the day or week before.
I would like to have 7 daily's, I can't seem to figure out how that is possible i'm gu
I've been looking at the backup option in cPanel while it would be great to have it able to do versioning, for now I think a small change would make it even better.
When backup is scheduled for Daily, Weekly and Monthl. cpbackup does the daily first then copy it over to weekly and monthly.
This means, there is at least once a week when daily = weekly and once a month daily = monthly.
The Problem
I'm using Deja Dup to back up my recently restored and upgraded Ubuntu 11.10 machine. However, only one backup has ever succeeded; in every subsequent backup, I was continually asked for my encryption password. It turns out that this is a previously fixed bug and, as such, I reported it as having potentially regressed.
I currently have a Deja Dup Backup utility in Ubuntu 12.04 to run scheduled backups every day but the backup never runs. The Overview tab always reports "Most recent backup: n days ago" and "Next automatic backup: Today". I can run a backup on demand no problem so as far as I can tell it's not a network availability issue or a permissions issue. It just appears not to run on schedule.
Hi
I have set up FTP backup in WHM.
In cpanel I do not have option to restore daily or weakly backup but backup is stored on ftp?
What do I have to do to have daily of weekly backup in Cpanel?
Thanks
We want to backup a server once a week on the same day each week.
