http://stackoverflow.com – I have a web app that is hosted on Linux cloud servers (Linode, specifically). I am working with a new client that needs to set up a VPN tunnel between their network and one of my main servers. For this reason, they said they needed a private IP and associate subnet mask, and this IP must be bound to eth0:0. So I used the Linode control panel to get a private IP and subnet mask, added the appropriate lines in /etc/network/interfaces and send them the info. The IP/subnet mask was: 192.168.131.214/255.255.128.0 Then, their tech guys email me back, asking that I change the subnet mask to be at (HowTos)
