Sorry guys if its a repost.
I am new to Ubuntu, using Ubuntu 12.04. What happened is that i right clicked the trash icon, clicked the icon and changed it to some icon i downloaded from internet. After changing it, i realized that i does not work properly. I since yday, i have been trying to change it back to the default icon. I deleted the downloaded icon and now it shows just a white icon.
If you used to be a Windows user, you should prefer the Computer,Home,Network and Trash icons on your ubuntu gnome desktop.
Press Alt+F2 key combination, and this window pop up,type gconf-editor to start configuration editor.
When I delete files it says they are being moved to the trash can, but I can't seem to find the can trash can to clear it.
I just installed Lubuntu 11.10 last night, and I thought I remembered seeing the trash can when I opened the file manager.
I found these instructions to create a desktop icon while searching the forum, but there are no trash can icons to choose from.
CODE: SELECT ALL

Original title:
Why do I have two trash icons in the Unity Launcher?
Whether I run Ubuntu as a live-USB or install it, I always have two trash bins on the Unity Launcher. Both work, and both open the same location.
This seems a bit redundant; what could be done about it?
Update: Turning auto-hide on made it obvious that I have multiple Launchers showing.
How do you delete the trash icon on the Gnome desktop? I have moved it to the panel by the clock but I want to get rid of the original desktop icon. Any ideas?

HI
I'm new to the Samsung Galaxy Note and am on a steep learning curve. I have just accidently put the settings icon in the trash can while trying to move it. Can you please help with how to retrieve it?
Thanks
Previously my trash can will be in the desk top. Later I installed Tamil keyboard, and the keyboard switch Icon taken the place of my Trash can. Since that that day, I could not locate the can. I want to restore some files which I deleted earlier. I am using ubuntu 10.04.
Those who help to restore my trash can, can share the contents
Thanks in advance
