I can't seem to create templates in Lubuntu. I have a folder in ~ called Templates, which I directly copied from my previous home folder when I installed Lubuntu 12.10, but when I right click in the file manager, in the create new menu, none of my templates are there!
Lubuntu doesn't use nautilus but PCMan File Manager. According to this website, PCManFM has template functionality.
I have some templates in my ~/Templates folder, but there is no icons in context menu for any of them except the default "Empty Document".
menus_have_icons is enabled
How to get/set them?
I've been using "Tempates" folder in my home dir to create new files (.doc .odt .xls), the problem is that when I right click in my desktop (or any other folder), go into "Create new document" and choose "Microsoft Word Document" i get new file with name called "Microsoft Word Document.doc untitled".
I want to remove " untitled" from filename so it's called "Microsoft Word Document.doc" or even ch
This is an unexpected behavior in Thunar: The templates must reside in the ~/templates folder. The problem is that they must be real files, not symlinks.- If ~/templates is a symlink to another folder (for instance ~/Dropbox/templates).

The folder is absolute path, and accessible, with several files inside.
But when I right click, the "Create Document" menu is still empty. Is there something I missed?
UPDATE
%> grep TEMP ~/.config/user-dirs.dir
XDG_TEMPLATES_DIR="/YY/XX/Templates/"
And that path exists and have files inside.
I'm having a very bizarre problem here. When I start LibreOffice Writer, it doesn't open with a new blank document. The document is called Untitled 1, but its contents are from a previous document - specifically a series of images that I pasted into a previous document.

I'm having a problem similar to that posted in this question:
Missing Certificate template From certificate to issue
The short version is that I've created a duplicate certificate template and I'm trying to add it to my domain CA so that I can issue certificates with it.
so i've created a template in libre office, and i've created several documents based on that template.
my understanding is that if i change some aspect of formatting on the template, the change should be reflected in the documents that are based on it, right?
but if i change the template (say font color, or font style) and then open one of the documents, i get a dialog box asking if I want to
