How to disable screen saver when watching a movie on youtube?

I have disabled the screensaver in both Gnome and KDE. It still blanks my screen and locks it after approximately 10 minutes. This makes movie watching rather annoying.

Have tried setting the screen saver to hit after 2.5 hrs, still makes no difference. I told it not to require a password when it does hit and it locks it everytime; instantly.

I'm at a loss. Any ideas?

Just installed Lubuntu on older laptop, works great, I'm very happy with it, but two questions:

1- how do I turn screen saver off? I have set the power settings to turn off screen after 10 minutes.

If I reboot my Fedora 11 (HP 4000DV Centrino System). The screen saver will fire *one* time and the system will eventually suspend itself.

After I wake the machine, the screen saver will not kick in and the system will not suspend. The screen *will* blank but will not turn off.

Is this problem unique to me :)

I've installed the xscreensaver, and want to remove the default KDE screen saver so the two don't conflict. I couldn't find the KDE screen saver in the installed software list. How can I remove the KDE screen saver?

I tried watching a movie from my Xperia S on my TV via HDMI. Everything is fine except for the phone screen that stays on while movie is also playing on tv. Is there any way of putting the phone screen to sleep while movie is playing on the TV? I tried the power button but that turns the movie off on the tv aswell.

I'm using 11.10 with Unity.

I have disabled power management and un-installed gnome-screen-saver and themes. But the screen keeps going black, and it don't go into power-save. Exactly as if the screen-saver was present ....

Can it be xdg-utils ?

look for a screen saver app to run whil my phone sits on the dock maybe news ticker or just photo streams like flickr
