When I listen to a playlist in Rhythmbox, whenever a new song starts, a message will pop up in the top right of the screen, with the title of the song, but the thumbnail of the previous song.
When I open the Rhythmbox window, the thumbnail in the bottom left will also be the one of the previous song, but when I hover over the speaker in the top right, I can see the correct thumbnail.
I'm using Ubu
On the bottom left side there use to be a window that showed the album cover and when the song changed it would pop up in a bar on the top right)showing the artist and cover that stoped showing the cover too.

I was having an issue with the pulseaudio-equalizer an rhythmbox, sound gets really crackly but so far only with rhythmbox, youtube sounds just fine. I tried installing the rhythmbox equalizer thinking I can just use this for now as a work around, I don't mind the extra few clicks to disable one equalizer for a short time then enable it later.
I stopped using rhythmbox years ago because I thought banshee was better, now I would say as far as the 2 players go rhythmbox seems to be much less buggy, (no this isn't a which player is better thread so lets not go there) anyway I use bash scripts to control banshee after login, to get it to start in the background and play music automatically, I want to switch to rhythmbox but can't seem to fi
I am using version 2.96 of Rhythmbox in Ubuntu 12.04. I want to be able to add album artwork to my music so it works better on my iPod. However, for some reason the Album Art Search plugin for Rhythmbox doesn't display.
I have checked the plugins menu, and it is installed and checked as well as the cover art plugin. However, it still seems it is invisible!
In Windows 8/8.1, when you mouse to the bottom-left corner of a screen, the Start Menu hint appears, even if you are on a monitor without a taskbar, or in a fullscreen application. How do you disable this behavior?
There are lots of resources about disabling the other corner/side elements, but no obvious answers to this one.
I'm using ubuntu 12.04 with gnome-shell and "mediaplayer-extension" from https://extensions.gnome.org/extension/55/. When i hit the close button on a music player, like rhythmbox 2.9x, it hides somewhere, but it keeps playing music in the background. But if i try to do the same on another distro, when I hit the close button, rhythmbox quits instantly.
I have just upgraded to 12.04 and I'm not happy that the integrated music player is once again Rhythmbox. I much prefer Banshee and would prefer to have it as the default music player in the same style as it was before (i.e. Default audio application, completely integrated into sound menu, Ubuntu One integration). Also, I would like to be rid of Rhythmbox as the default.
