I am using 12.04 64 bit. I have noticed if I configure (connect) any printer when my machine is connected to Lan (eth port) then it takes print job only if I am connected to Lan. If I try any printing job on wifi, it gets stuck in the print queue.
Hi, I am just a user trying to get CrunchBang to do all that I need. I am very happy for the most part. I have been migrating away from Windows XP because I lost the install disk. Hardware=eeepc 1000HE. OS=CrunchBang Statler, ran updates at first run, printer support, did not go with Zen. Sound works, wireless works. I know next to nothing about linux.I am trying to get my printer working.
Hi, I got a bit excited today when I noticed there was a linux driver for my CM205 printer. It may have been there for ages and I just assumed that there was no driver. Who knows. Anyway, if I can connect the printer to my Centos server then life is going to be a lot easier for all the family.
I followed these instructions to install the driver.
In my office there are more than ten system using different operating system (Microsoft windows & RHEL4). We bought a new printer( HP LaserJet p1007 ) and we have to configure the printer in our network. We want to access the printer from any system in our network. Please sent me the details (How to configure printer in an existing network using RHEL4 OS step by step.) with pleasure.
I do not have a solution to your problem but I would suggest to point a browser to 127.0.0.1:631 and configure CUPS from that. You will inteact directly with CUPS and it is better for debugging. Now can you see your printer from there?
