http://www.liberiangeek.net – If you read our previous blog on backing up a complete Windows Vista system and acted on it, then continue reading below. If you didn’t read our previous blog but want to learn how to completely restore Windows Vista from a backup image, you also can continue reading.   In this brief tutorial, I’ll show you how to restore a Windows Vista system from a backup image created on a CD/DVD disc.   The first thing you’ll want to do is get a copy of any Windows Vista installation DVD or the Windows Vista DVD that came with your computer.   1) Pop in the Windows Vista DVD and boot from it. Press any key to boot into it.       2) Click Next and on next screen, select Repair your computer.       3) Select the Local Disk your want to restore and click Next. On the next screen, remove the Windows Vista DVD from the computer drive and replace it with the backup image DVD. Then select Windows Complete PC Restore option from the list.         4) Windows will automatically find the backup image in the computer. Click Next and select the box to ‘Format and repartition disks’. Then click Next to continue.       5) Click Finish on this screen. Check the box to acknowledge that your drive will be formatted and continue.       6) Click Restart Now after your computer is restored to complete the restoration.     7) Your computer is restored to the date and time when it was backed-up.       That’s all to it. Now you can continue to enjoy your computer again instead of worrying about taking it to the repairman. Join the forum discussion on this post — (1) Posts (HowTos)
