I get no bounced or error message when I send email from the forum email to my business email and vice versa. It seems as these emails are lost in cyberspace. Both can
So, I unwittingly started a new forum account via UbuntuOne, which is apparently not linked to the same email I used for this forum. I have no idea which email that would be. I logged into to Ubuntu one making sure the preferred email is the same as instructed but my forum account (which i had for many years) is gone, all posts are not linked etc. Is there a way to restore it? Is it not immediate? should i be patient?
Any help appreciated - I really want my old forum account back.
I revisited the forum after a significant absence and discovered the new login system. I dug up my old credentials but when I logged into my Ubuntu One account I couldn't remember which of the two emails I had listed matched my old forum account. I chose one and got it wrong.
I previously had 2 Forum accounts (walt6520, w_d2). Note that both accounts have a small number of short postings regarding this issue. I had an administrator disable the w_d2 account and disassociate the email address used for the walt6502 account. The plan was to keep the walt6502 account but use the email address that was used for the w_d2 account.
