I am trying a 12.04 LiveCD. I configured Firefox to only allow connections to specific sites by setting up a manual proxy (Preferences->Advanced->Network->Settings) with the proxy set to "no access", port 80, and the checkbox "use this proxy server for all protocols" checked.
I want to build a web application/server with this structure:
main-server
sub-server
transaction-server (create, update, delete)
view-server (view, search)
authentication-server
documents-server
reporting-server
library-server
e-learning-server
The main-server acts as host server for sub-server.
hi, I have two questions, the first is probably involved.
1) I am trying to change my DNS servers and after checking the internet on how to do it I am at a complete loss. I am using 12.04 64 bit, xubuntu with the xfce DE.
My ISP has DNS servers that are used, but I want to change them and try some different servers.
I have 4 servers running windows server 2012.
I have one of the setup as my domain controller, for let's say domain.local
Obviously when I installed this it added the DNS server and this was as expected. I then proceeded in joining my other servers to the domain and all went well, I also set the DNS to only respond to requests coming in on the internal network's NIC.
This morning I found out that our domain and subdomains have been poisoned on the 4.2.2 and 4.2.2.1 DNS servers along with others I think, though I have not confirmed others yet. Using OpenDNS resolution works correctly. I have updated our local DNS servers and cleared their cache which has fixed things internally.
The issue is that the domain is public facing and customers are having problems.
I need to search the logs of all the servers in the array for a particular string.
Hi folks, I noticed today that when a customer chooses the "Configure Email Client" option in cpanel, the resulting page "clientconf.html" displays incorrect information about the SSL server hostname.
We use a basic naming convention for our servers similiar to this...
server001.domain.com
server002.domain.com
And we run a wildcard certificate for the cpanel service c
I have two domains that refuse to accept changes to the name server records. One domain has had this problem for 6 months and the other just did this today. I use DreamHost as my domain registrar and I am trying to set Hurricane Electric as my name server.
We have multiple servers scattered over different hosting providers. For learning, experimenting and, ultimately, production purposes, I set one of them as a Domain Controller.
